The Donegal County Board have released the nominations ahead of the 2017 Donegal GAA convention.
There are six nominees for the Chair, with Aodh Mairtin Ó Fearraigh, Mick McGrath, Frankie Doherty, Mary Coughlan, Niall Erskine, Grace Boyle and Cieran Kelly all in the mix.
The Convention takes place this night fortnight, December 8 in Jackson’s Hotel.
Former Tanaiste Coughlan, from the St Naul’s club, has confirmed that she is interested in the role, while Mick McGrath, who narrowly lost out to Sean Dunnion in 2012, has declared his candidacy.
Current Vice Chairman Doherty, popular across the county, could yet emerge as a candidate, although others have yet to signal their intentions.
Secretary Aideen Gillen, Assistant Secretary Declan Martin, PRO Ed Byrne, Development Officer David McLoone, Oifigeach Gaeilge agus Cultúir Fergus McGee and Central Council delegate Seamus Ó Domhnaill will all retain their seats without opposition.
