Cathal Corey is eager to put a stamp on Sligo after being appointed to his first inter-county job.
Corey was this week appointed as the new Sligo boss having twice contested a vacancy in Donegal.
The Kildress native, following his involvement with Naomh Conaill, went for the Donegal job after Jim McGuinness stepped down and again this year, but was overlooked in favour of Rory Gallagher and Declan Bonner each time.
Now, Corey will hope to make inroads with the Yeats men.
“I got a phone call about two weeks ago asking if I would be interested so I went down and met them,” Corey told the Irish Independent.
“I was very impressed with the set-up and the centre of excellence they have down there.”
