KEVIN HARKIN ADMITTED he was almost lost for words after his Clonmany Shamrocks side win the Clubman Shirts League Cup final last night.
Fifteen-year-old Mickey Friel scored twice in a 3-1 win over rivals Glengad United.
“We’re delighted,” Clonmany manager Harkin said afterwards. “It’s well deserved. I’m almost lost for words. I’ve overwhelmed. It was a team effort. I’d say we saved our best performance of the season so far. If you want to beat Glengad every man has to be on his game.
“We have had a few shaky results as there are lads away from home in the week. We only have five for training some times during the week. Glengad are still the team to beat.
Harkin spoke to Charlie Collins afterwards …
