DUBLIN’S CIARAN KILKENNY will prepare for the All-Ireland SFC final in Gweedore.
Kilkenny has been an inspiration this season having been relocated at the half-back line and yesterday helped Dublin to 0-22 to 2-14 win over Kerry at Croke Park in the semi-final.
[adrotate group=”38″]It means that the side managed by Jim Gavin aim to become the first back-to-back winners of Sam Maguire since Cork in 1989 and ’90 when they fact Mayo on Sunday, September 18.
“I have to go to the Gaeltacht,” Kilkenny said on Today FM today. “I’m doing a Masters in Education, so I have to go to the Gaeltacht for two weeks. I have to work around that. I suppose that’ll be a nice distraction.
[adrotate group=”53″]“I’ll be up in the lovely place of Gweedore in Donegal and will have good craic up there. That’ll keep me occupied. I won’t be wearing the Dublin gear. There’s a few McGees and Kevin Cassidy, Odhrán Mac Niallais and a few lads up there so they’ll be slagging me.”
