CIARAN CLARK OPENED the scoring as Aston Villa got the better of Wycombe Wanderers in their FA Cup third round replay at Villa Park tonight.
The Republic of Ireland international headed home a cross from Ashley Westwood on 75 minutes to settle any Villa nerves before Idrissa Gueye struck in the last minute to seal a 2-0 win for the Premier League’s bottom club.
Villa will now play Manchester City in the fourth round on Saturday, January 30.
Central-defender Clark is London-born but is the grandson of the late Vera Clark from Manorcunningham and the son of Michael Clark, who was brought up in Ballyare.
