CIARA DOOGAN finished in 28th place at the Junior Women’s Individual Team Time Trail at UCI World Road Championships in Richmond, USA, today.
Seventeen-year-old Gortahork native Doogan (pictured above), who is the sole Irish representative in the junior women’s event, finished the 15k course in 23 minutes and four seconds.
The event was won by Amercia’s Chloe Dygert in 20:18, while Emma White, also from the USA, was second with 21:24 and Austria’s Anna-Leeza Hull finished third with 21:44.
Errigal Cycling Club member Doogan, who is a first year student at UCD, will be taking part in the Road Race on Friday having already finished 25th at the Road Race at the European Road Championships in Estonia in August.
