Donegal League champions Glenea United and Inishowen League champions Glengad United have been paired together in the third round of the FAI Junior Cup.
Glengad were quarter-finalists in the competition in 2015 and have been handed a tricky away assignment to Pairc Joe this time around.
Shane Byrne’s men had a 3-1 derby win over Culdaff in the last round with Seamus Doherty netting a brace and Patrick McDermott also on the mark at The Crua.
But they’re on their travels again this time with Glenea in wait.
Ciaran McGeady, Martin Maguire, Ciaran McFadden and Dean McCarry scored for Glenea in their 4-0 win over Lagan Harps in the last round.
Whitestrand United were the surprise package in the last round as Sean Martin’s goal upset the odds with a 1-0 win over Premier Division hopefuls Kildrum Tigers.
Whitestrand’s reward is another home draw at McGarvey park, with derby rivals Rathmullan Celtic next up.
The third round ties are to be played on the weekend of Sunday, October 22.
