A BIG crowd of 289 turned out for the Castlefin 5k last night.
Joe McAlister from the St Malachy’s AC in Belfast (picture above by Kieran Carlin) was the winner of the event, coming home in a time of 15 minutes 48 seconds.
City of Derry’s Brendan Murphy (16:25) and Tri-Limits Michael Crawley (16:35) were second and third with the top five made up by Finn Valley duo Jack McBride and John McElhill.
Omagh Harriers’ Edel Monaghan was the first woman home, her time of 19:50 seeing her finish 23rd overall.
