For the third year in a row, we have a new name on the Paddy Byrne Perpetual Cup following Cartha Boyles 6-1 win over Stephen Harron who was also appearing in his first final.
Defeated semi-finalists were Dermot McGuire and Declan Quinn.
It was another truly amazing and highly competitive day of darts in Glen last Saturday with 54 entries for a competition that’s in its 24th year.
Big thanks from the Byrne family as always for the big turnout, thanks also to Glenhead Tavern and Roartys Bar for their continued support, to all the markers and checkers throughout the day and the final itself.
Special mention to Una Blain for a generous donation which was passed on to the best-aged youth Dylan Curran and highest checkout of 144 to John Con McGinley.
Total prize money on the day was €1,100.
