DAN CARR netted the only goal of the game as Shamrock Rovers defeated Finn Harps in the FAI Senior Cup at Tallaght Stadium.

Carr struck a brilliant goal midway through the first half for the only goal of the game.
Carr riffled past Mark Anthony McGinley after getting on the end of a Ronan Finn pass.
Rovers dominated from start to finish, but couldn’t add to their tally.
Harps manager Ollie Horgan made just three changes to his side with a debut to Joshua Smith in defence and recalls for Raffaele Cretaro and Colm Deasy.
Finn went close early on, but hit the frame of McGinley’s foal, while the Harps goalkeeper twice denied Finn late in the first half.
Harps, to their credit, battled well in the second half.
Sub Nathan Boyle drew a fine save from Alan Mannus, the Rovers goalkeeper.
Aaron Greene had two chances to double the lead, but took neither, shooting at McGinley and then over the crossbar, but Carr’s goal proved enough.
