Carndonagh FC Ladies markswoman Tara O’Connor is our latest Donegal Daily/Donegal Sport Hub Sports Person of the Week, in association with O’Reilly’s.
Last Thursday night, Carndonagh FC’s ladies won the second section of the North West Women’s Super League thanks to a 6-1 win over Moville.
O’Connor was on fire – scoring FIVE of the goals.
It has been an excellent second half of the season for Carn and O’Connor’s handful saw them bask in the silverware.
This week, she polled 469 votes – 34 per cent of the 1,394 votes that were cast.
She came in just ahead of Sinead McBride from Illistrin FC and Burt hurler Niall Campbell.
Each weekly award winner will receive a kitbag, a jersey and a half-zip, supplied by O’Reilly’s.
The award winners are chosen via a public vote from a shortlist selected by our panel.
O’Reilly’s Sportswear was founded in 2017 by well-known Twin Towns sporting brothers Steven and Martin O’Reilly.
