CARL MCHUGH’S PLYMOUTH ARGYLE went down to a 1-0 loss against Oxford tonight – but still remain top of the Sky Bet League Two.
Liam Sercombe scored the only goal of the game from George Baldock’s low cross on 32 minutes and inflict a first loss of the season on Lettermacaward native McHugh’s team.
Plymouth have 29 points from 14 games, which is two points more than second-placed Portsmouth and Oxford are now third.
Meanwhile, Stephen McLaughlin from the Isle of Doagh was an unused substitute as Southend United went down 3-0 against Chesterfield in League One. Southend are eighth in the standings.
