LETTERMACAWARD NATIVE CARL MCHUGH made his competitive debut for Motherwell this afternoon against Rangers in the Betfred League Cup.
McHugh joined the Scottish Premiership side last month from Plymouth Argyle but saw Rangers run out 2-0 winners this afternoon with James Tavernier and Martyn Waghorn scoring the goals at Fir Park.
[adrotate group=”38″]The other sides in Group F are Stranraer, Annan Athletic and East Stirlingshire, with McHugh’s Motherwell away to Annan next Saturday. Motherwell open their Ladbrokes Premiership campaign at Kilmarnock on Saturday, August 6.
Broadcasters BT Sport mistakenly named ‘Robert’ McHugh in their pre-match graphic.
