Letterkenny Olympian Caitriona Jennings put on a fantastic performance at today’s SSE Airtricity Dublin Marathon.
Caitriona finished fifth in the women’s category, crossing the finish line in 2 hours, 42 minutes and 36 seconds.
Caitriona was the second fastest woman in the National category, finishing just behind Laura Graham (2 hours, 39 minutes, 7 seconds). The bronze went to Pauline Curley (2 hours, 50 minutes, 55 seconds).
The first woman home in the overall category was Nataliya Lehonkova of Ukraine who sped through the marathon in 2 hours, 28 minutes and 58 seconds.
Kenyan Benard Rotich secured the overall gold medal after finishing the entire race in 2 hours, 15 minutes and 53 seconds.
Over 20,000 people took part in today’s marathon, covering 26.2 miles around Dublin.
