BURT MANAGER RAY DURACK believes his side’s stern defence was the reason for their reclaiming of the County Hurling title this afternoon.
The Hibernian Park club went in at half-time 2-3 to 0-3 up and survived a MacCumhaill’s second half onslaught to seal a 2-7 to 0-12 win. It’s Burt’s fifth title in succession.

“MacCumhaill’s started punishing us and I have to put my hands up and say unlucky to MacCumhaill’s,” Durack said afterwards. “Our defence were very good. In the last 10 minutes we managed to break down their attacks.”
