MARK TIMLIN’S DEPARTURE from Derry City has been confirmed.
The Buncrana native will join St Patrick’s Athletic after agreeing terms with the Inchicore outfit having scored 10 times for the Brandywell outfit in the 2015 season.
Timlin, who turned 21 on Tuesday last, previously represented his hometown club Buncrana Hearts before spending three seasons at Ipswich Town. He signed for Derry in 2014.
Last season, under the management of Peter Hutton and then the caretaker charge of Paul Hegarty to Ballindrait, Timlin helped Derry to a seventh placed finish in the SSE Airtricity League Premier Division.
Earlier this month, Kenny Shiels took over as manager of the Foyleside outfit.
St Patrick’s Athletic finished in fourth place and as well as Timlin, have also brought in Keith Treacy, who played for Drogheda United last season, and Graham Kelly from Bray Wanderers.
