With the course in excellent condition at present, the opportunity was there for all competitors to show their true potential.
The player that took full advantage was Jonathan Doherty (13) who shot a very impressive 72 gross to amass his winning total of 43 pts.
In this form, Jonathan will be a force to reckon with over the summer months and he gained a valuable 12 points on the Callaghan Golfer of The Year table which moved him into second place.

Competition
The competition this weekend Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th June will be an Open Stableford sponsored by David Henry & Co Solicitors Buncrana.
The first prize this weekend is Annual Membership to the Buncrana Golf Club with a fantastic array of prizes for all the other podium positions.

Find the Joker Fundraising
The “Find the Joker” is up and running again with a Jackpot of €650.00, lines only cost €2 each and this draw is open to members and non-members alike. Lines can be purchased in the clubhouse or through chief seller Oliver Doherty.
Juvenile Lessons
Juvenile Lessons for boys & girls have commenced on Wednesdays from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and the cost is €5.00.
Meal Deal Competition
The Meal Deal Competition will run every Thursday and the cost to enter this competition is €18.00 for members and €25.00 for visitors. The competition entry includes an 18 hole Open Stableford and a fantastic two-course meal in the award-winning Drift Inn Bar & Restaurant after your game.
Don’t despair if you can’t use your meal deal voucher on the day of the competitions it can be used on Fridays as well.
This is the best meal deal about and with the greens the best in the county it’s an excellent opportunity to experience the course and savour some fantastic food afterwards.
Presidents Prizes
Mr. Pius Mc Fadden’s Presidents Prizes will commence shortly with the lady members playing on Friday 5th July, a team of four mixed scramble on Wednesday 10th July, the juveniles will play on Thursday 11th July and the main event for male members will take place over Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th July.
The culmination of events will take place on Sunday 14th July with the Presentation Buffet & Dance @ 8:00 p.m.
