THE Three-Rivers Shotokan Karate-Club traveled to Edinburgh at the weekend to compete in the Scottish International Open Championships.
The Championships were held in the Medowbank sports complex as part of the JKS Ireland team.
This was the first time the young members competed in this event that seen around 400 competitors from all over the UK, Ireland, Malta, Denmark, Holland and Finland take part.

With the JKS World Championships coming up in Glasgow in September events like this is providing excellent experience for the members of the Lifford club.
As normal they were not just there to take part with Jamie Lee Simpson and Emma Dolan both competing brilliantly to take bronze in their respective categories.
