BRETT McGinty is set to face Lukas Ulys when the St Johnston man returns to the ring on Friday night.
McGinty, 2-0 in the professional game, squares up to Ulys (0-2) at the Skydome Arena in Coventry.
The middleweight bout will be on the undercard of Sam Egginton’s meeting with Bilel Jkitou for the WBC silver middleweight title.
In May, the former European Schoolboys bronze and Commonwealth Youth silver medalist defeated Dwain Grant 40-36 on points at the Skydome in May.
Last December, the former Oakleaf ABC ace recorded a debut win over Jan Ardon in Redditch.
Trained by former world champion Ricky Hatton, McGinty won eight Irish titles as an amateur and is looking to make swift inroads in the paid ranks after enduring a pandemic-enduced delay to his professional career.
McGinty is managed by Sheer Sports Management, who also look after Donegal’s world title hopeful Jason Quigley.
Fellow Sheer stablemate Stevie McKenna (8-0, 8KOs) faces Moussa Gary (11-3-2, 1KO) in a welterweight bout on the Mick Hennessy-promoted card on Friday.
