Brett McGinty edged out by Kharabadze in Minsk

Brett McGinty missed out on a podium spot at the Liventsev Memorial tournament in Belarus.

The St Johnston man was pipped by Giorgi Kharabadze in a middleweight quarter-final in Minsk.

Kharabadze is a former European Junior gold and European Youth bronze medallist and he shaded the verdict of the judges at ringside.

McGinty was returning to action again and the Oakleaf ABC puncher will be looking to up the ante with domestic competition on the horizon.
