FORMER Finn Harps captain Keith Cowan has signed for Irish League Premier Division side Glentoran.
Just days after confirming that he was leaving Harps, the centre-back has been unveiled by the Glens.
Cowan made 241 appearances in two spells at Harps, having first been signed by Felix Healy in 2004.
The defender returned to Swilly Rovers for two seasons, but made a move to Harps again in 2010.
Cowan helped Harps to promotion in 2015 and 2018. He missed the bulk of 2017 through injury, but was one of the frontline players in 2018 and 2019, when he aided Harps’ battle for survival in the Premier Division.
The 34-year-old Ramelton man has been snapped up by Glentoran manager Mick McDermott and will be able to line out at the Oval once the transfer window officially opens.
Glentoran are currently fifth in the Irish League Premier Division, just eight points off leaders Linfield and Cliftonville. Tomorrow, Glentoran are away to Cliftonville.
