Donegal County Board Treasurer Cieran Kelly has stepped down from his role.
The St Naul’s clubman conveyed his decision to members of the executive when he circulated a text message this morning.
The Donegal County Board are remaining tight-lipped on the matter.
Kelly took over from Grace Boyle as the Donegal Treasurer at the 2013 County Convention.
As he would have completed the maximum five years permitted in the position, Kelly would have had to vacate the seat at this year’s Convention, but has moved aside.
The executive are set to discuss the matter tomorrow night.
