Declan Boyle was second and Donagh Kelly third in the Abbey Court Nenagh Rally today.
Sam Moffett and James Fulton won in their Fiesta WRC with Boyle, co-driven by his cousin Brian, were second, some 59.1 seconds behind.
Kelly, in a Focus WRC with Conor Foley calling the notes, was another 36.1 seconds away in third.
Kelly and Foley did manage to claim an extra point for setting the fastest time on today’s Power Stage.
Cork’s David Guest and his Monaghan co-driver Emmet Sherry (Mitsubishi) won the Group N category and Cavan’s Gary McPhillips/James McNulty (Escort) took the laurels in the two-wheel drive section.
There was glory for Donegal duo Michael Boyle and Dermot McCafferty. They won the Junior category in the Civic.
In the two-wheel drive category, Gary McPhillips held off the challenge of Adrian Hetherington. Ian Barrett (Darian T90) was third in the category
