FINN VALLEY’S JANINE BOYLE has become the latest Donegal athlete to qualify in her discipline at the European Youth Athletics Championships in Tbilisi.
Hot on the heels of Finn Valley AC mates Sommer Lecky, who is through to the high jump final, and Arlene Crossan, who is into the semi-final of the 400m hurdles Boyle has reached the 200m semi-finals.
Boyle, pictured above with her coach Shauna Carlin, was fourth in her heat, the first of the 200m heats.
The Finn Valley AC woman came home in 24.81 seconds. The heat was won by Gayane Chiloyan of Armenia in 24.30 with Aurora Berton (Italy) and Gal Kadmon (Israel) next up.
Lifford-Strabane AC’s Brendan O’Donnell is currently in action in the hammer final in Tbilisi.
