AMY BOYLE CARR and Tyler Toland both featured today as the Republic of Ireland Under-15 Girls lost out to England.In a game played at Egerton FC, a solitary goal from Jody Hutton five minutes into the restart was enough for England side to claim victory against the Irish.
Boyle Carr from Glenties – who plays for Donegal Town FC – was the Irish captain while St Johnston’s Toland, a player for Maiden City Academy, came on as a substitute after 20 minutes.
Lorraine Counihan’s side will dust themselves off following this minor setback and finalise preparations for their International Tournament on April 1.
The squad will meet up again in Dublin on March 19 for their final session ahead of the Bob Docherty Tournament which sees them in a grouping with hosts Wales (‘01) and Northern Ireland.
