Dungloe’s Oisin Wallace and Carndonagh’s Dominic O’Donnell carry the Donegal hopes into Irish finals today in the Boy 1, 2 and 3 Championships at The National Stadium.
Wallace comes up against James Whelan in the Boy 3 final at 56kgs while O’Donnell squares off to Tommy Lee from Bracken in a Boy 2 final at 54kgs.
Carndonagh puncher O’Donnell will be the first of the duo in action, with his final slated for the morning session in the capital.
O’Donnell received a bye into the final, while Lee wasted no time in booking a spot to the decider. Lee stopped Philip Donoghue from Birr in the first round of their semi-final.
Wallace scored a brilliant semi-final win over Our Lady Of Lourdes boxer Michael Faulkner yesterday. Wallace took a unanimous decision win to propel him into the final spotlight.

There was no joy last night for Carndonagh’s Ben Clarke in the Boy 1 46kgs final. Clarke, the younger brother of Labhaoise and Jessica, was beaten by All Saints’ Conhuir Johnston, who took the unanimous decision of the ringside judges.
Earlier yesterday, Letterkenny’s Dylan Browne-McMonagle went down 5-0 to Athy’s Michael Donoghue in a Boy 3 semi-final at 35kgs.
