Finn Harps have been handed a massive boost with the confirmation that striker Ciaran O’Connor has returned to the club.
O’Connor – pictured by Joe Boland, North West News Pix – spent the first half of the 2017 season on loan to Harps from Dundalk and scored five goals in 14 appearances.
O’Connor spent the second half of the campaign at Bohemians, but Ollie Horgan has persuaded the frontman to return to Ballybofey for Harps’ promotion push in 2018,
The Dundalk native had been on the hunt for a club, but his addition to Harps, just a couple of months after their relegation, is an indication of their intentions for next year.
“We’re pleased that he has agreed terms for next season,” Horgan said of O’Connor.
“He’s still only 21 but has gained a lot of experience over the past four years in the League of Ireland so hopefully that will be a big help to Ciaran and ourselves in terms of the standard of teams we well be up against in the First Division.”
