BONAGEE UNITED’S FANTASTIC run in the SFAI Under-14 National Cup continued with a fine victory over Pike Rovers in Limerick today.

The victory means that the side from Dry Arch Park now have a quarter-final to look forward to.

Bonagee started the game well in very wet and windy conditions and Kelan Collier opened the scoring with a well placed shot passed the Pike goalkeeper.
Ronan McKinley added the second minutes later after some fine passing movement by United and Finnian O’Donnell latched onto a through ball and rounded the keeper to slot home number three.
The second half started with Pike on the attack and soon scored from a free-kick again the hosts kept the pressure on and soon scored the second from the penalty spot to make it 3-2.
Bonagee didn’t panic and soon added the fourth a header by Eoin Dowling from a free-kick and the hosts’ passing game was the best it has been all season.
