Finn Harps remain unsure as to their start date for the 2019 Premier Division season – just two weeks before the planned kick-off.
The cancellation of Bohemians’ Irn-Bru Scottish Challenge Cup quarter-final this afternoon has left Harps in further limbo.
Bohs were set to face East Fife, but the game at Dalymount Park was called off just five minutes before the appointed kick-off.
The semi-finals of the competition are to take place on February 16 – the same weekend as the new League of Ireland season gets underway. The Irn-Bru Scottish Challenge Cup semi would take precedence were Bohs to advance.
Harps are scheduled to face Bohemians at Dalymount on Friday, February 15.
During the week, Harps manager Ollie Horgan admitted that neither he nor any Harps officials had been briefed on the matter.
Bohs have said that a new date for the quarter-final against East Fife will be announced ‘in due course’.
