The Letterkenny Hospitals Golf Society held it’s final outing of a very successful year at Portsalon Golf Club in glorious conditions last Monday.
There was another big turnout as members enjoyed the beautiful weather and the course in pristine condition with a sea breeze making things a little tricky.
Local knowledge proved vital as John James McBride took the victory with a fine score of 35 points, giving him a two-point winning margin over Runner-up Joe Blake on 33 points.
Another fine performance from Joe in what has been a most consistent season which saw him accumulate 177 points from his best 5 out of 6 outings at an average of 35.4 points per outing and take the Golfer of the Year Award in impressive fashion.
