BARRY MCNAMEE HAS signed a contract extension at Derry City until the end of the 2017 season.
The 24-year-old midfielder made his debut for the Brandywell club in 2012 and went onto win the FAI Cup in his first season.

A native of Ramelton, his youngest brother Shane is also on the books of Derry while another brother, Tony, is with Finn Harps.

We’ll be talking to the other lads in the coming weeks and Barry is the first one, so it’s great to have him over the line and we’ll be speaking to the others after the Longford game.
“The building blocks have to be in place and that’s what we’re trying to do, to build a stable foundation for the future and for next season. I think next season will be a massive season and we need to have the right sort of people here and I think keeping the young lads is key.”
