DAMIEN O’BRIEN FROM outside Ballybofey is lining out for the Wild Geese Gaelic Football team in Orange County, Los Angeles.
O’Brien, from the Cross, captained the Geese defeated the Austin Celtic Cowboys to win the Mens Junior Football title in the West Coast Sevens in San Diego.
[adrotate group=”66″]“In the last two to three years we’ve been working hard and this year we’ve been training since January,” O’Brien, who appears to have lost his Donegal accent, said. “We just put it together and we set out to win this West Coast Sevens and it’s all worth it now.”
