GLENGAD UNITED have been handed a tough away draw in the FAI Junior Cup quarter-finals.
Shane Byrne’s team will travel to Limerick to take on Pike Rovers on the weekend of March 12/13.
Pike Rovers are former winners of the competition having taken victory in the 2011 final.
The draw was made at Aviva Stadium this evening and Glengad’s hopes of a home draw at The Crua were dashed with the Inishowen club pulled out second from the bowl.
Earlier this month, Glengad reached the last eight when goals by Nigel McMonagle and Matthew Byrne gave the Inishowen League champions a 2-1 away win over Aungier Celtic in Dublin.
Previously, Glengad have put Raphoe Town, Castlefin Celtic, Kilmacrennan Celtic, Cappry Rovers and Castlebar Celtic to the sword.
Not only is there a semi-final place at stake for Glengad, but the winners of the quarter-finals also qualify for the FAI Senior Cup.
