FORMER Finn Valley boxer Austėja Auciute was crowned Lithuanian welterweight champion at the weekend.
In Saturday’s final, Auciute overcame Augustina Markelionyte.
Auciute took a unanimous decision win to take the title.
In the finals, held in Kėdainiai, Auciute made no mistake with a dominant display against Markelionyte.
Last year, Auciute defeated Egle Vasiliauskiene in the final.
Auciute won nine Irish titles in Finn Valley ABC’s colours and was a bronze medalist at the 2011 Women’s World Youth and Junior Championships.
