ST EUNAN’S MANAGER David McGinley saw positives and negatives on his first day at the office on Sunday.
The Letterkenny side drew 3-14 to 3-14 at Magheragallon against Gaoth Dobhair in an open fare in the AllSportStore.com All-County Football League Division 1.
McGinley was content enough to get the season underway having been appointed to succeed Maxi Curran in December. He was, though, disappointed to concede 3-14 but has promised his team will be positive this season.
“It was great to have a good competitive game and we took a lot for the game,” McGinley said. “We shipped 3-14 so we’ve a lot to work. But we’re looking to be positive this year so i’m quite proud of them but overall I’m pretty happy.
“We’re looking to be a bit more flexible there. I see massive potential in them and am looking to develop that. It’s important to be able to play other ways.”
