ST EUNAN’S JOINT-MANAGER PAUL CARRÂ cut both a relieved and content figure following his side’s win over Naomh Conaill in the Minor Division 1 Football Championship final on Saturday.
The Letterkenny side looked to be waltzing their way to victory having gone in at half-time 3-4 to 0-4 in front but a fierce comeback from the Glenties side saw them get back to within three points.
However, St Eunan’s popped over two late scores to seal a 3-6 to 0-12 win in the end.
“Over the years, we’ve had a ding-dong with Naomh Conaill,” Carr said. “But they’ve always been a great game of football played in good spirit and today was no exception.”
Afterwards, Carr, who works alongside Ciaran Maguire and Eddie Brennan, spoke to Alan Foley. Listen to the interview in full here …
