SHAUN PATTON AND Cillian Morrison were part of the Derry City side that took on Finn Harps on Sunday – and it’s a fixture both men would love to see in the Premier Division next season.
The two Letterkenny natives played their part in the friendly at Coláiste Ailigh in their hometown as Harps won 4-2, with Morrison opened the scoring with a free-kick.
“He has done a brilliant job,” goalkeeper Patton, who was at Harps last season, said of Harps manager Ollie Horgan. “They’re playing brilliant football and it would be brilliant to see them up in the Premier Division. Their eyes will be on the play-off now.”
Striker Morrison added: “The rivalry is very healthy. Hopefully we don’t have to go into a play-off and Harps will get through their play-off.”
