SHANE BYRNE REMAINS CONFIDENT that Glengad United can close the gap and retain their Jackie Crossan Premier Division title.
Yesterday’s 1-0 defeat by Clonmany Shamrocks, the leaders now at the Christmas break, means Glengad, last season’s champions, are ten points behind, but have three games in hand.
“If we win our games in hand – and we’re capable of that – we’re only a point behind them. There’s a long way to go yet,” Byrne told Donegal Sport Hub.
“I had 11 points dropped at Christmas last year and we still went on to win the League and we have only three points dropped now.
“I don’t think we’ll fall apart. We have enough good players in there who know what it’s about.”
