EOIN WAIDE SAYS the sending off of Eoghan McGettigan and a disallowed Leo McLoone goal were the key moments as Naomh Conaill prised Dr Maguire away from St Eunan’s.
Naomh Conaill won their third Donegal SFC by a point, 0-11 to 0-10, but the day couldn’t have panned out so differently.
17-year-old sub McGettigan was sent off just seconds after coming on while McLoone had a goal wrongly disallowed soon after, but the Glenties men nosed in front to take the title.

“That was the turning point for us because every man stood up after that,” Waide said.
“It seems to be the case where the team that’s down to 14 comes good.
“One point was all we needed to get over the line.”
