Paul Browne had little in the way of complaints after his St Eunan’s College side lost out to Carndonagh Community School in the Ulster Senior Boys final at The Lakeside.
Sam Todd’s 83rd minute goal propelled All-Ireland champions Carndonagh to Ulster glory and left St Eunan’s counting the cost of some spurned chances after a 1-0 loss.
“We were up against the All-Ireland champions and we knew it would be tough,” Browne said after yesterday’s game.
“We put it up to them. One goal was probably always going to win it and unfortunately they got it.
“We had our chances, but that’s football. On another day, it could have gone our way.
“Carndonagh are champions for a reason. They dug deep and soaked up everything.”
