PATRICK MCBREARTY WANTS to forget about Kerry and ‘get back on the horse’ with a win over Roscommon.
Donegal had been galloping nice with three wins from three, but stumbled on Sunday with a 1-13 to 1-8 defeat to Kerry in Tralee, in a game McBrearty says was the ‘toughest’ he’s experienced.
Donegal and Roscommon are locked on six points and the League semi-finals are the aim for both counties heading into their clash in Letterkenny.

“It’s important that we get into the League semi-final, but Roscommon will be thinking the same thing,” McBrearty told Donegal Sport Hub.
“These League games are important. We have a lot of young lads there and we need to prepare them as best we can for the Championship.
“It’s a different kettle of fish altogether. Hopefully they can enhance the squad because they’ll be big players for Donegal in years to come.”
On the defeat to Kerry, McBrearty said: “We were disappointed in Kerry. We felt at 0-7 to 0-4 down at half-time we could have clawed it back.
“We did that and we thought we could have gone on to win. We didn’t push on at all and never really recovered from the goal.”
