PADDY CARR, the Scoil Mhuire senior team manager and Ulster Schools chief, has praised the work of the Inishowen Ladies League.
Carn, Scoil Mhuire and Moville Community College have all been leading lights in the school’s scene in recent years.
“This is our second final and the standard is immense,” Carr said.
“We played Moville last year with Roma McLaughlin playing and you look at what she has achieved. We’re so lucky up here. What the clubs have done for girls soccer in Inishowen has been immense.”
On yesterday’s final, Carr added: “You couldn’t have asked for more from the girls. We put it up to them, but it just wasn’t to be. It could have gone either way. I couldn’t ask for any more of them.”
