OLLIE HORGAN WASN’T taking too many compliments following his leading of Finn Harps to the SSE Airtricity League Premier Division.
Instead the Finn Harps manager paid tribute to his players, the committee, the staff and the supporters of the Ballybofey club, after their 2-1 aggregate win over Limerick FC in the promotion-relegation play-off final.
Horgan admitted that going into the top flight as rank underdogs is something he can think about again.
“There’s very little difference between the ‘best’ and the 20th player,” Horgan said afterwards. “There was a massive amount at stake. They’re a great bunch with no egos. Nobody is making a penny but I’m delighted for everyone here. It’s not about me.”
