NAOMH CONAILL ALMOST manufactured a stunning comeback in the Division 1 Minor Football Championship final against St Eunan’s on Saturday.
Michael O’Donnell’s side were 3-4 to 0-4 behind at half-time but having posted the first six points of the second half were right in the contest at just three points down. However, St Eunan’s got over the line and there were tears aplenty from the Naomh Conaill camp, with immense pride in their team.
“The boys put in a massive effort there in the second half, as they put in a massive effort all year,” he said. “I’m just massively proud of them.”
