NAOMH CONAILL EXITED the AIB Ulster Club SFC yesterday when they were agonisingly beaten by Trillick in Ballybofey.
The Dr Maguire Cup winners almost recovered from a nightmare first half, following which they trailed by six points, before going down on a 2-9 to 1-11 scoreline.
Manager Martin Regan admitted afterwards he was “gutted” at the loss.
“Everything seemed to go against us in the first half but you couldn’t fault the effort in the second half,” he said afterwards. “Absolutely gutted to come up short.”
