KIERAN O’DONNELL HAS the blood of Drumoghill FC running through his veins.
Tonight, the side from the Moss sealed their first Brian McCormick Sports Premier Division title in 21 years when they picked up the point they needed in their penultimate fixture against Gweedore Celtic.
[adrotate group=”46″]The side managed by Michael Lynch drew 2-2 tonight with Ray Quinn scoring the second equaliser 11 minutes from time.
“Hopefully we can go on from strength to strength because you have to move with the times,” O’Donnell said. “I’ve been here since I was 13 years old and tonight is one of the highlights. I’ve two sons playing on the team.
[adrotate group=”47”]“Myself and Seamus Neely have been here since the start and we used to play together. It’s lovely when you see the foundation we laid at that time. We used to sell tickets at one penny night after night. It takes a lot of effort so a word of thanks to everyone involved at the club.”
