SEAN MACCUMHAILLS manager Damian Devaney says his side will have to work on their discipline ahead of the Donegal SFC quarter-finals.
While Naomh Muire lost Lee Boyle, Adam O’Brien and Paddy McCafferty, MacCumhaills had James Lynch, Andrew McCloskey and John Lynch red carded.
“I’d have to have a look back at them,” Devaney said diplomatically after the game.
[adrotate group=”76″]“A lot of them were for two bookings. It wasn’t a dirty game and there was no need for it.
“At the same time, boys made silly mistakes and persistent fouling. We were as much to blame as they were and we lost our discipline at times. We’ll have to work on that for the quarter-finals.”
Three years ago, MacCumhaills reached a quarter-final, but let a big chance slip against Killybegs.
[adrotate group=”38″]Now, they’re in line to meet one of the powerhouses of Naomh Conaill, Kilcar or Glenswilly in the last eight with the draw set to take place this evening.
Devaney said: “We seem to be coming good and there’s a bit of freshness.
“We were dead on our feet for a couple of weeks, but we have that out of our system now again. We just need to get back working with them now over the next couple of weeks.”
