LETTERKENNY ROVERS WERE denied three points in the Ulster Senior League on Sunday by Derry City Reserves.
The Leckview Park side were twice in front only to get pegged back by the Candystripes in a 2-2 draw at Leckview Park.
Rovers manager Eamon McConigley admitted afterwards he was disappointed and felt his team should’ve preserved what they had instead of pushing for another goal. Rovers travel to Dunboyne in the FAI Intermediate Cup on Sunday.
“We went away chasing a third goal,” he said. “We’ve a big game against Dunboyne coming up. We’re looking forward to it. We know what we’re going to be confronted with.”
