FINN HARPS UNDER-19 manager Joe Boyle looked on the bright side of life after this afternoon’s 3-0 defeat to Sligo Rovers at Maginn Park.
Sligo topped the group and now look forward to a home quarter-final, while Harps will now be away from home after going down to the Bit O’Red.
Harps needed to avoid defeat to finish ahead of Sligo, but Chris Flanagan, Gary Armstrong and Mikey Place netted as Sligo took the spoils while Harps had Mark Coyle sent off in the first half.
“When you go up the levels, small little things become big things,” said Boyle, who has been pleased with the progress so far in his first year in the job.
“We’ve got to look at where we’ve come from. We have had a lot of progress and we are in the quarter-final.”
