JERRY EARLY wasn’t too downbeat after his Arranmore United side were beaten on penalties by Glencar Celtic in the Voodoo Venue Cup semi-final.
Glencar won 4-2 on penalties after the sides played out a one-all draw in Ballyare.
Michael McHugh’s equaliser, after Declan Scanlon opened the scoring for Glencar, took the game the full distance.
“We didn’t start well and we were very leggy,” Early told Donegal Sport Hub.
“There was no pressure, but Glencar were the hungrier side.
“We were asked a question, we went behind but we came back well.
“We came back into the game a lot and we had one taken off the line. I felt that it just wasn’t going to be our day.”
